Well, this is the hard part. I hate talking about myself and thrive more in the background — which is exactly where I found my strength in events and interior design. But you clicked this link, so I'll tell you a little more about myself!
I know it's cliché to say, but I've always had a passion for creative things. Just ask the stack of Brides magazines I started collecting at age 13. And it's not just weddings and events — I love design, too. I grew up watching Christopher Lowell and Martha Stewart whenever my mom had them on, and I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with Charles and Ray Eames and anything they've ever touched.
My creative mind and a servant's heart led me to my real passion: planning and executing events, and designing spaces people love coming home to. I don't do well in the spotlight, but I thrive in the background, and my heart lights up when I get to help someone bring their dream space or day to life.
That's actually where the name Emerald comes from. It's a nod to my own emerald wedding ring — something timeless, a little bold, made to last. That's the same feeling I want every client to walk away with: a space or a celebration that still feels like them years down the road.
These days, you'll usually find me dreaming up new design ideas for the house my husband and I recently bought. I call them fun — he might call them something else. I'm a homebody at heart, and I genuinely love spending time with my husband, working on house projects, and just being home. I can't wait to help you plan your next event or space!
